Switzerland

Wednesday, March 24th, 2004

I went to Switzerland for service training on the 13, and Kelly came with me. Isnt she nice? when we got to Atlanta we found out that our flight was upgraded to buisiness class for free on the way over. Which was very cool. Kelly and I are not used to such luxuries. We were ready for the sardine flight. Our flight attendent was very nice to us. we were able to sample a couple of different wines on the flight and had a great dinner. The seats had video screens built into them for viewing of a different movies and shows durring the long ride. The seats reclined and had plenty of leg room. life was good for the flight. When we arived in Switzerland, my friend Nico was there to pick us up. I havent seen my friend in over 18 months. He is doing well and seem to be having a good time with his life. He and I was first introduced in the US when he came to be the road tech for the company i work for. So when we left the airport he took us to the hotel and then we went out. Being that we just got into town and both having spent 8+ hours on a plane we went out. Maybe we should have stayed in but hey, who needs sleep anyway.

Today is the day

Time is a factor, it’s a big factor when you travel with a woman. Men are easy, all we have to do is throw some underwear in a plastic bag, with a camera and were good. Women on the other hand will have to pack cloths, makeup, medicine, appliances, books, magazines, pictures of people and who knows what else. Our flight leaves at 3:00 so we are going to leave at noon. Of course this is taking into account that my lady has everything taken care of. She normally does, but sometimes will flake out. Lets hope everything goes well

The weather in Switzerland is very similar to the weather in Ohio. It changes at a whim and if it does its normally for the worse. Here is a view of the 10 day in Switzerland.(sorry if the link doesn’t work).

Like I said in the last post, Keep an eye on the moblog. I will be posting pics as I get them!

Switzerland

Thursday, March 11th, 2004

So, this may be the last post for the next 10 to 12 days. For I am going to Switzerland for work. They are finally training me on the products that I have been repairing for the past 5 years. This is how this company goes about doing things: First, get the employee. Second, give employee work and hope he doesn’t screw it up. Third, more work. Then, if employee stays long enough, train employee on the product after 5 years of employment. Good way to go huh? Well all the same, they are sending me.

A few good things about this trip are as follow. My girlfriend Selene is coming along for the ride, and I have a friend in Switzerland that will meet us at the airport and drive us back to the hotel. This guy I met when he was working over here as a traveling technician for the company. When he was in town we would chill and party almost the whole time.

Well keep me in good graces. I hate to travel, so I will need all I can get. Oh yeah and keep an eye on the moblog. I believe I will be able to use my SE T616 over there. So i’ll post pics if I can.

Excuses

Well, with only 2 day left before I leave to goto Switzerland problems have arose. This is the story of my life. Nothing, I repeat, noting ever goes my way at first. On the first night in Switzerland, my company, you know, the ones that are sending me are not willing to pay the hotel stay. The are saying that its not a training night. Well blow me! It’s one night! it’s not like i’m trying to buy a house on the company dole. Oh well, I guess me and Selene will have to make up the difference. I sure wouldn’t want to make da man mad. DAMN THE MAN!

Not Just for Kite Flying

Monday, March 8th, 2004

On Friday, Hamilton was hit with high winds. While this is good for flying kites. It is also good for doing damage to the roof of your house. On sunday, I was walking around the home picking up the trash that was blown into the yard. When I noticed some shingles laying in the side yard. These shingles match the ones on my roof. Now most of the time I would think of this as a bad thing, but being as I have home owners insurance its a good thing. So now I have to get it repaired or more than likely replaced. Its very old and to many layers up there to get away with for safety reasons.

I up loaded 3 new themes last night before bed. Go in and take a look. If you have a moment, why not leave a comment on some of them. You will need to be registered, but do not fear my fellow t61x owners. I will never, ever, ever give out email addresses. Also, if you make your own and need a place to host your themes you can do that here also.

4 days till Switzerland!
