Short Comings
Monday, January 31st, 2005You know what really lights my fuse. I’ll tell you, its not sunday drivers on Monday mornings when your running late, or cold coffee after you just got a fresh cup and got busy. Its people that point out to me that I have horrible spelling. You would probably never really notice it here, because I use a spell check feature in W.Bloggar. But when I don’t have a dictionary handy or a spell check in reach I have to make due. I warn people in the beginning of a friendly relationship. I suck at spelling. But there are some of these people that have to point it out even if they can put together what I mean to say when I wrote the words.
I really don’t go around correcting people on things. So when people do it to me when its not asked for it really ticks me off. Its not like i’m not aware of the fact, I know i’m not a good speller. But damnit I try to make the effort to use the tools at hand. If I miss a few or even blow a word out of the water try to use some candor to not point it out. I don’t mind some corrections like ‘hey you spelled that word wrong.’ but to say. ‘what is this word? are you a dumb ass? why don’t you use a dictionary?’ you know why I didn’t use the dictionary? because I was standing on it to see at your level of greatness. Bite me!
on a side note. Campbells Cup ‘o Soup is the bomb! i’m having some as I wright this.
So to warn all you fine readers. If you find that I spelled your favorite word wrong, and you are offended by it. Please just tell me. I’ll correct it and I don’t mind that. But try not to berate me because of it. It doesn’t make for a good day for either party. I will make sure of that.
