Heads will roll

Thursday, June 30th, 2005

This morning I am awoken by sunlight! yes sunlight. Not only is the sun out but the rain is not coming down. There is a 40% chance that we will get some. So I like those odds.

This morning though, after waking up, I go to take my morning shower. Well it seems that someone has used the entire hot water tank of water. There isn’t even a drop of it left to make the water luke warm. So, instead of having that nice relaxing shower that I have grown accustom to, I have to take a package shrinking one. Oh this makes Rob a very mad boy. There will be retribution and heads may roll. The water felt so cold that it took your breath away. Like falling into a hole in the ice of a pond. It truly sucked.

Rain

Wednesday, June 29th, 2005

Why oh why did it have to rain this week. From everything I’ve heard it’s going to rain all day today and it will probably rain tomorrow also. In fact, The whole time where here its going to rain. Only friday has some sun coming out, and that ain’t much. The rain isn’t cold like it is back home usually, but a nice warm rain. And theres enough trees here that you can walk around outside and just need to dodge the raindrops. Although, people were soaked.

The rain did stop in the middle of the day. The sun came out and it was as if people sprouted everywhere. We went to the Salty Dog Cafe. Good seafood, and great view. The wait to get in was short also. About a 20 minute wait and it was quicker than that. We both had some white fish special with crab meat and a pepper sauce. It was damn tasty. I believe this is a very popular tourist spot, because everyone had a Salty Dog t-shirt on. So of course, me being the follower, I had to have one. Go figure.

While writing this entry the fire alarm went off. It was crazy. I thought, hey, why is that going off. So I called the front desk and the guy says to me. Yeah, we hear it too, you need to leave the building. WHAT THE FUCK!. So we gather our shit and get the hell out. don’t yet know about why it went off. I wonder if I can get a free nights stay. Lets hope.

Signs, signs, everywhere a sign

What the hell is it about in Hilton Head? All the signs are shaped like tombstone. There seems to be one main road in Hilton Head, Sr 287, and this goes pretty much all the way to the end of the island. Lots of stop and go traffic. I think the I deal is put you all on one main road so the unmarked police cars can stop you at will and harass you. This hasn’t happened to us. But knowing my luck it will. Your lucky if you get street signs. Our hotel is off a secondary street. But there was no street sign to guide us. I’m happy that I had my laptop with me. I was able to pull up a map and get us to our hotel.

And talk about a hotel. This place is damn skippy awesome. Just walk to the back of the hotel pool, bar, hangout looking at a pond, dance hall of a back yard and your on the beach. It’s really crazy, on the map it looks like the hotel is inland somewhat. But when your there, its right on the beach.

What really sucks about this though, as if anything could suck here. Is that it’s supposed to rain all week. This of course would happen. We had a great day at the Biltmore, its just to bad that we’re having crappy weather here. I would have rather had it the other way around. Now when we get back i’m going to look like we never went anywhere. No sun = no beach tan.

And for those of you that are interested. This post was made using my sell phones data connection via a bluetooth port. The hotel is nice enough to give you internet access at a cost and well, that is just not cool. But why the hell would I want to sit on the internet all day in this beautiful place. Even on rainy days.

Our new home

Monday, June 27th, 2005

We left home yesterday and started our honeymoon. We decided to take a road trip and see some of the finer places of the eastern states. One of the places that we went to see is the Biltmore mansion in Asheville, North Carolina. This has to be one of the coolest places in the states. This place is huge! It took us close to 2 hours to see just a small amount of the house.

There was some trials and paths around the house. One of them was called Bass Pond. It has a waterfall on it which also had a path and hikes to. The Below is a shot of the bridge from a distance.

unfortunately you can’t take photos or video in the mansion. That’s why you cant see any of it. But it was well worth it. The wife was the photographer, shes damn good in my eyes.

Well, Tomorrow is another drive. We leave here to go to Hilton Head. Neither of us have been there, so were kinda excited to go. It would have been nice to get a condo. But we don’t know anyone that has one there, and I didn’t really know how to get one with out buying into one. So, If you have any cool destinations on mind let me know.

New Beginings

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

Well its over ladies. I am no longer able to court you, nor able to accept your invitations for crazy wild animal sex. I got married yesterday and everything went well. The wedding it self was hot! You couldn’t tell if i was crying or sweating. It was out doors and the weather was 93 degrees and very humid. Talk about beautiful though, the formal gardens on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio was beau-teeee-ful. The flowers were all in bloom, the minister was on time, and so was my bride. All was good.

The reception that followed went very well also. The beer was cold and the food was good. I have to say, when the cards are down, and you’re trying to do something on the cheep, there’s no one better to ask then family. They really came thru on this one. My sister was awesome, although her camera batteries died while taking the photos after the wedding. So we have planed that in a few weekends we will go back and take the rest of them. My parents were the real heros also. Mom made almost all the food her self. She made a massive load of beef, beans, and macaroni salad.

One thing that sucked is that all the people that i invited that were supposed to be personal friends didn’t show up. I guess they all had better plans or something. Im not sure. But the fact that they didn’t even call or send a note or anything hurt my feelings. But all in all every one that i know (short of the ass clowns that accepted the invite and ditched) were present. They all could have done what my neighbor did. They had to cancel because something happened which had to keep them away. But, when we got home we found a note on our back door and my grass was cut! what a kick ass family. Thanks guys! You so ROCK!
