Caught
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007Well it looks like I’ve been caught cheating on my husband. Dolph let me know, that he knows and I have very bad things coming to me. Just check it out in his comments to my post I Could Use a Vacation. What and ass. I wonder if this guy even knew what he was reading or even where he was. It could be spam comments. But nothing in his comments is trying to sell me anything. So who knows. I guess ill leave them up since i don’t like to delete comments from my readers even if they are full of crap.
The Wife and I celebrated our two year anniversary yesterday. We didn’t do anything last night for it. But on sunday we had the grandparental units watch FROTE while we went to a lunch and a movie. Lunch was at Mitchell’s Fish Market. Mitchell’s has probably the best fish i have ever had in Ohio. One of the cool things this place does is print their menus everyday. I quizzed our waitress one time about that and she said the have an old time print press in the basement. But for some reason i don’t believe her.

After lunch we went to see the new John Cusack move 1408. While I have not read the story by Stephen King. The movie was all out spooky. True to the style that Stephen King goes with, the movie has a part that is believed to be a dream and then turns out to be not at all a dream. While I am not a scary movie fan (I find them predictable) this movie was much more than scary. It was down right frightening. Not in a slasher movie style. More like a mind freak kind a why. Oh and Samuel Jackson was damn awesome in it too.

Since i’ve had my .mac account I have been trying to find out what is so great about it. I’ve read how it’s so cool with the iLife apps. But really nothing it does is fantastic or something I couldn’t live without. Sure you can podcast in iPhoto or one click publish in iWeb. But the space is so small on .mac you really couldn’t do anything for to long. Between syncing files and publishing content, the space is quickly taken. So I have really tried to hold back on it.
I like the syncing files. It keeps me from having to carry around my USB Thumb drive. But come on, is a hundred bucks really worth that? I mean really, a thumb drive costs about 10 bucks these days and that comes with unlimited access. One cool thing I also like with it is the bookmark syncing. I can find a site I like and create a link in my account bookmarks and they will be synced with my iBook when I get home.
And since I already pay for this host, I really can’t see why I would need to continue with my .mac account. I could see this being something my parents would use. Or maybe the woman at work who is committing a true blasphemy (she is running windows) on her MacBook Pro. Basically, I would say that this is something for a person without much internet experience and wants something very easy to use. Maybe Apple will come up with a better solution. But until they do I will stick to my Dreamhost account.
