Booked
Wednesday, July 15th, 2009So I took the plunge and joined Facebook.com. I typically steer away from social networking sites like this. Heck, I never even thought of opening a MySpace account. It just feels dirty and wrong, the way people can just look you up and see all the wrong things you do with your life. I’ve even read articles about how people have been denied employment, or even fired over content on these types of sites. With that in mind I did it anyway. Making sure to become friends with people I work with to ensure a hasty firing. So far the experience has been good. I have a very modest friends list that I really don’t care if it grows. On my list are people that I haven’t talked to in many years. Most of them are people that I do miss having in my life. But others, well it’s nice to see that people did maintain their course in life and became successful at what they wanted to do.

I think our A/C unit is craping out. I believe it’s the motor that pulls the air thru the coils in the condencer/compressor unit. What ever the thing is that sits outside the house. The other night I was sitting in front of the computer when I hear this metalic scretch come from out side. At first I thought it was next door. The house is up for rent so I thought it was coming from there. You know, krack head that steal alluminum to sell for more krack. But it kept going so I lifted my lazy ass from my chair and investigated the noise. Sure enough, it was from the A/C unit. It would slow down and then speed up. Only when it slowed down did it make a noise. So after taking the lid off and checking the extreamly rusty motor that sits atop of everything I deduced that this is what was making the noise. Figuring the bearings were jaming and thus screaming in bearing pain. I ordered a new motor. But now that I have the new motor the noise and problem has gone away. So now I have a motor, and i’m waiting for our A/C units motor to crap out. Oh, the joys of being a home owner.
